Weston aa evening sweeps rnd 2

Well missing round 1 last Monday being on holiday that’s my dropper for the series gone so needed a good result but with the series being 1 week everything counts 1 week silvers only I missed a carp round where I feel I’m stronger but these matches are usually a good crack weather the fish play ball is another story!!! Anyway arrived in plenty of time and was a boiling hot bright sunshine and no wind so was very doubtful of catching much so into the draw peg 8 comes out usually a good area for silvers 😁but plan was to fill in a short line with worm caster for some eels if I was struggling gb worm and caster at 13m at 11oclock and micros and expander at 2 o’clock at the all in fed my lines and chucked out small method with white bandem which the skimmers seem to like there 2nd chuck had a liner was feeling confident 3rd chuck some kids came along and chucked a massive rock in on the feeder line 😡😡😡😡 so they got a mouthful of obscenities(park lake fishing)!!!and tried the short line only to have one roach in 10 mins buy this time I could see my 13m lines bubbling so went on the Gb first it didn’t take long and I netted a nice skimmer around a pound 😊😊 bargain then a roach then it was slow so kept trying the other lines and resting it trying to get the fish to settle and the middle hour of the match I put a few together not fast and furious but some lovely bites. I looked round and Shawn kitteridge was sat behind with his camera 📷 


I had a call from sensas Sam Johnson and I gave him the old I’m struggling only got 2 roach 😂😂 he was saying the same but 2 small skimmers but Sam loves to tell a porky or two 😂😂 I couldn’t see many but most were struggling so I was told. So with my many £1 side bets I just got my head down trying to pick off the odd fish last hour was a real struggle only putting one skimmer in the net as they seemed to have moved down to Jerry day on 9 who had 4 skimmers in the end and many carp 😂😂 but my peg was still fizzing it was frustrating at times but had a great evening with some good lads I’m really enjoying my fishing at the moment and that’s what it’s all about at the weigh in we had some good banter dangerous Dave Collins won the match with 12lb+ I came second with 11 lb + but got the all important section win 💪👍😂 
Think he was more chuffed with winning the quits on a double or quits 😂😂 well done mate

Acorn evening match

Gagging to get back on the bank after my lovely week away so first trip out acorn to try and get over the demons of getting bashed up by mr rixon loadsa banter flying round with Matt roden Adrian mercatto mark Thorne and peanut 🥜 who managed to blag a lift of Thorney to watch !!! Any way I had a few bets placed hoping no bank loans were needed peanut even had a pound with me betting on Thorney 🤪🤪 in to the draw back and pulled out 39 lovely had mark bromsgrove to my right
And that’s Kev Perry in front weather looked perfect before the start then it rained and rained for most of the match (not what I wanted 😡) but plan was paste top 4 down shelf pellet down edge and across if needed. And caster shallow top 6 at the all in fed my lines had squeaker and a foul hooker on the paste then one in the edge then it was solid on the caster line it was like an aquarium but they were trying to eat white bubbles that were all in my peg but I had a good hour putting a few in the net was getting little spells on the caster 2 or 3 then waiting for bites but I was mainly catching small f1s 😬😬 not the bigger stamp carp that I was after but I kept at it I did have one carp over 7 pound but mostly f1s around 1-2 pound really enjoyed the evening didn’t think I’d done any good especially when kev perry said he had 120 pound I thought I had 60 so I wasn’t far out heres the results 
Just sneaked in the money a few descions probably cost me a couple of fish but don’t think I could of caught up with kev it was nice taking a few quids back and only giving one out to Adrian who done me by a few oz 😁😁 good turn out and some great banter afterwards as always 👍👍👍 can’t wait till next week and Monday sees me on summer lane silvers only match should be interesting as it has not been fishing to its usual standards yet but I haven’t been there yet 😂😂🤪🤪 cheers for that pound 🥜 now get back to shiplate where u belong !!!🖕🖕🖕🖕😂😂😂😂😂😂

(Backup) Kos kademena little harbour by hotel

Had a little window of opportunity to wet a line around 630 ish one evening can’t remember which night but sun was shining bit breezy gets down harbour no one fishing little look over the edge and could see some small stuff moving about so set up Drennan pellet wag size 12 kaizen guru hook keep it simple stolen bread from lunch. First drop bread gone no fish second drop same again 😡😡😡 third drop mrs sun hat blows in water so bout 10 chucks managed to retrieve it 😂😂 anyway after that got my head down and me and the mrs took in turns catching these pretty little spikey things 
They do fight quite well but as the bread dries out gets harder to mould round hook so we had a few fish and was quite enjoyable but frustrating as they have quite boney mouths and probably hook 1 in 5 bite 😱😱😱 never mind an hour had passed without a cocktail going down !!!! So back for swim shower tea and 🍹 yum yum .

2nd attempt on arrival to my favourite end peg on the harbour someone on there 😡😡😱😱 but he was ok he let me fish next to him and check his rig out he was using to sets of tiny trebles above were two shot and home made wag with some cheesy smelling paste right let’s have it then Pedro!!! Had a few chucks and was struggling ped was getting one a bung nearly then I realised I left my little mossella bag at the room with all my bits and bobs in 🤪🤪🤪 Pedro did give me one of his trebles rigs but I needed a float so off I went even got my new friend ped a bottle of water 😂😂 I came back ped loved his water gave me some paste and I sorted my rig out guru 16 xs this time then me and ped were fish for fish Upto 12oz but I helped him fill his little fish box up 

A good evening and a bit of a laugh with a language Barrier but fishing got us through it 👍 FairPlay to ped good job I kept my mouth shut cos he would’ve took a pound off me 😂😂

Mmt the glebe

Well woke up late loaded the car and rushed to the fishery dreaming of peg 1 lake 1 made it in time quite far back in the que tho drew 110 pool 8 corner peg 😎😎😎 on arrival wind was blowing in opposite corner not great😳😳and Kerry kirkwood in there thought oh dear just have a days fishing and get your head down I thought !!!! 
Plan was pellet wag and bomb to rope two edge lines one at top 7 and one at 14.5m and I set up a deck rig and shallow rig at top 6 in open water. At the horn fired 2 pouch full of 6mm chucked the bomb and put 1 pot on my edge lines and 5 balls of gb  at top 6 which u are aloud to do here strange but true !!!and started pinging the caster over it like a machine 💪💪. Anyway once I finished feeding my lines I got on the wag and started thrashing the granny out of it but nothing was happening half hour in now I was struggling matey to my left was emptying it 😱😱 so I tried my edges had one foul hooker on the long line. Then I saw a swirl on the caster 😬😬😬 let’s have it I thought 😂😂😎😎 I pretty much stayed on this line all day putting fish in the net from 2 pound to 8 pound had really nice day after getting bashed up on my last 2 outings 😂😂 at the end my clicker said 130 and so did mateys next door but I new he had more and I over clicked a bit as didn’t wanna go over in my nets but he did convince me I’d beat him 😂😂 Kerry kirkwood packed up with hour and a bit to go then he just sat on his box watching me 😳😳😳 probably thought look at that idiot 😂😂😂 but he enjoyed the show anyway mateys clicker worked better than mine I had 109.12 and he had 142 😱😱 and I hung around for results as I thought I may get section by default but didn’t 🤪🤪🤪 waste of time even had a pic god damn I’m ugly

Uk champs at gold valley and acorn evening match

Proper looked forward to this but I’m not gonna lie I didn’t get there on merit I managed to get on reserve list and quite a few pulled out bargain for me. Done some research and asked for some info as never fished Callum dicks was helpful as was friend of a friend mark eaves thanks chaps 👍but to be fair everyone fishing was quite forthcoming and quite a few there like myself never fished it.this is gold lake 
Quite fancied it on this one as it’s big carp fishing really or syndicate which is similar but not middle as it’s all f1 and skimmers really.so into the tin and I’ve pulled 43 gold pretty much bang in middle of the lake 1st peg in my 9 peg section. 
That’s Andy power opposite !!!! Plan was all out pellet wag bomb mugging rig incase edge late and I did set up a deck rig at 14.5 m to fish soft pellet just in case. Will was walking around before the match had a nice chat and he was also very helpful there was quite a lot of fish in front of me but he said they may disappear as soon as horn goes hope not !!!!!! At the all in I started flicking some 8mms half way across but saw a few fish swimming around 14m so tried to mug them but they literally turned there noses up and moved away 😱😱😱 so on to the pellet wag Ben Hag said just fish that all day thrash the granny out of it I did this for 20 mins or so to only have one missed bite so chucked the ever faithful bomb out and it went round 2wice in the first hour come on then I thought rubbing my hands together 😎😎 then it died so tried a few things casting past my feed left and right nothing so thrashed the wag again for a bit to no avail re tried the bomb even chucked a method to the rope for not a twitch mmmmmmm 🤨🤨🤨🤨😳😳 bloke next door hadn’t had a sausage mind and power opposite was like a man possessed with the wag but couldnt see anyone catching !! 2 hours now struggling thought il feed a helping of micros and expanders on the 14.5 m line see if I can catch anything I left for half hour and went on it had 2 skimmers and then it went quite so fed again left it while trying other lines for some carp nothing went back on it carp skimmer skimmer carp but the carp were only small did have 2 roach off it as well but one fell off not a sniff down edge either I wasted too much time down there I think and should of stayed on the 14.5 line while chucking the bomb was just sinking the line and bloke to my left shouting at me I gotta fish coming your way so lifted line up and a massive boil right on it the chap did get the fish in it was 22 pound Christ 😱😱 I should’ve tried to hook it 😂😂😂 and the horn sounded and that was that asked down the section everyone struggled bloke next door had 2 fish in the end for 3 pound I was hopeful of beating a couple more in the section but it wasn’t to be the weights just got bigger down the section to finish with Jamie park house on the end peg winning section with 65lb so a crappy 8 points 😡😡😡 never mind had a nice day just gotta pull my finger out a bit now...
Acorn evening match next booked on and off this match a couple of times but got to it short notice in the end wasn’t ready for it (first excuse)😂 then got to the fishery with plenty of time having a chat with everyone and tony rixon rocked up so like a twat that I am gave it the Barry big bollox we having a pound he nearly bit my arm off 😂😂😂 so with that in mind I was still quite confident god knows why !!!! 😬😬😬 then I realised I’d left half me pellets at home 😳😳 (second excuse ) drew peg 38 really fancied the peg as well then big tone rocked up next door looked like he was setting up for the night but was his mrs station being set up !!!! Bit of tooing and froing with Chris fox about the pump being on I wanted it off he wanted it on so I said put it on then dangerous dan match organiser and Cadbury legend shouted over turn it off so it went off 👊👊 caster shallow was my plan and pellet and paste down edge far bank if struggling started pinging like a nut job and fished down edges long story short I fudged it fished it all wrong as the rain got heavier but I committed to the wrong Desicion (twat) tony was having a few and so was Chris on 35 even Thorney infront on 2 was having a few 😡😡😡😱😱😱 I tipped back a measly carp f1 2 skimmers and a roach. Proper embarrassing 😂😂😂😳😳😳 then I had to go get a bloody bank loan to pay every ones side bets Ivan currie Matt roden big t and Thorney all grinning like Cheshire cats 😂😂 I didn’t hang about to long but took the banter quite well as I’m normally the one giving it time for me to pipe down a bit I think 😂😂😂 never mind hopefully sort my act out Sunday mmt glebe if not might learn to tie a noose!!!😂😂😂 still was better than emmerdale !!!!

Summerlanomania 2 and acorn evening

First of all I won’t bore u too much with summer lane but expectations were high as mark thorne been bagging down there most evenings and fishing 1 till 7 thought we had a good chance !!! I wanted any of the flyers 1 10 11 13 or 18 being the organiser I had last one in the bag peg 3 was last in there 😱😱😱and I was not happy carp live down the right edge but it’s snaggy as hell. So the margin pole came out first time this year!!! Any way I set up a mini method thought I could snare a couple of skimmers on it chucked it short 18 to 20 m at the all in and started moaning and I only managed to moan 2 carp straight on in the first hour 😂😂 usual thought I was gonna empty it then not another sniff on that !!! So I went down the edge😬😬😬😬 loads a bites but only landed one more from the snag pit and lots of swearing went on. Fair play tom thick smashed the match with 98 pound on pellet wag off un fancied peg 7 well done 

There’s the results highlight of the day was John Dursley telling a bloke with a camera to jog on 😂😂

So onwards an upwards been looking forward to acorn evening matches for a while now so managed to book on with dangerous dan who ran the match very well. On arrival was greeted by all the usual suspects lil chat with Walshy the paste and then a small crowd was forming around tom thick who was elasticating his pole and making and attaching rigs usual banter was flowing out of him 😂😂😂!!! Into the draw quite early fancied anywhere house side of the far bridges and was happy with peg 4 

With walshy to my right on peg 2 pound bet was placed tom thick wanted another from me peg 9 so I could see him again and even Matt roden wanted 1 and had a pre arranged one with Ivan currie after giving him some stick on fb 😂😂 could be an expensive night 😬 anyway plan was expander over micros far bank if needed (didn’t even look) as I wanted the fish to come to me!! Paste down both edges and caster shallow out the hand at top 6 !! At the all in started pinging like a machine 💪💪 went down edge and had one straight away only a lil babber about 2 pound but very welcome then down left edge little crusian lovely then started getting bitted out with small fish attacking the paste so out on the caster 
I had one pretty quick and then it was tough I stuck at it just getting the odd fish off my lines maybe I should have gone across but didn’t wanna ruin them coming to the caster. I did have a bit of mare losing a few fish at the net pulling too hard and a couple of foulers which in the end has cost me dear !!!!! But it did seem that most had struggled tom thick was having a few and steve Rolfe behind me was emptying it apparently on 39 so didn’t think I’d done any good at all walshy was getting the odd fish all match so thought id have to give him a nugget he said he had about 4o pound my clicker said 41 and I had skimmer and crusian that I didn’t allow for walshy was quite close with his weight but I wasn’t I had 50.2 I thought for knowhere but I was (2nd to tom thick all the way round the weigh in then we got to 39 😬😬😬 his first net was 27 so he needed 24 to beat me and he did 😢😢😢 FairPlay he had loadsa fish but they were all quite small I did call him a wanker for beating me 😂😂 but he took with a smile as it was intended 👍👍👍and that was that 3rd out of 16 they weren’t really having it as the weights proved 
Was a good evening and even managed Ivan’s pound which he pre enveloped for me 😂😂

Viaduct cambell psv

Couldn’t wait to get on this match as never fished cambell the times I’ve been to viaduct always been on Cary with a gloomy day ahead and a bit of breeze heading down towards 132 it all looked very good bit of banter with the lads and a few side bets placed really fancied it for a few. Anyway into the draw and I pulled out 129 ??? Someone said good peg on the spit lovely 


Had a lovely edge and a nice chunk of open water plan was bomb and pellet towards pump with pellet wag over top if needed short meat line in front and pellet over pellet with more pellet down the left!!! At the all in I was just about ready and I thought I would try the short line first so cad potted in some meat and sat on it while pinging pellets on my other lines. I was straight into a skimmer just shy of a pound !! Second chuck another. While this was happening bloke on my right was playing a bomb fish so I chucked mine and it’s wrapped round and round and round I probably put 30 pound in net first half hour thought I was gonna empty it still getting regular bites in the second half hour and there were fish shallow out there now so chucked pellet wag and had 1 straight away then nothing so noticed some bubbles on the meat line had a look and was rewarded with a nice plump double then more skimmers. So went down the left with banded 8mm first drop 3 pound skimmers 😬😬😬 what to do??? I think in hindsight I should of just stuck on 1 of my lines but I kept chopping and changing things up which cost me in the end anyway last hour and they were there on the meat line but my lack of viaduct experience caught me out a bit but I learnt a lot today!!! I finished up with 134 pound ish I think 11 pound of silvers so not bad for first attempt that got me 4th overall which would of been section by default but I got 2nd silvers which was more money so should of stuck it out for silvers really as 12 pound won the silvers and I dropped a 3 pound skimmer at the net 😱😱 never mind an enjoyable day and a learner and caught a few had to give chris zsacks a nugget and big Ryan won a double or quits off me them too being 2nd and 3rd 😱😱😬😬😂😂 but all was not lost as took a lovely pound of the one and only Alan Healy cheers des !!!!! Really enjoyed it today awesome fishery can’t wait to get back might hit a few opens down there (pools fodder) Craig Edmunds smashed the open again down there today with 244 pound I think from Cary and catchy bait owner won silvers with 40 odd pound 👍👍👍 thanks for reading this time next week I will be a married man 😁😁😁 hope everyone had a great weekend 👍👍
