Weston away day+shiplate open

Was looking forward to our clubs away day the chairman’s cup at the prolific Todber manor hillview lake. With my name on the cup twice and two of me pals was all to play for first to 3. So after the weird drive through the country lanes arrived at the cafe skevys in plenty of time the food was probably a 4.2 on the rixon scale!!! Anyway onto the draw I wanted one of the flyers I believe they are 48.49 and 56? But pulled 46 last time we were there the lads done well on that bank so I fancied it for a few. Anyway to my right I had beach caster Barry (Simon Ryall) and to the left empty peg but oh no guess who rocked up late there tom thick !!!! I had more bloody side bets than pellets on me tray anyway plan of attack was method to island with gb or micros whatever they preferred !! 14.5m deck and shallow for hard pellets and same for a short rig bottom of shelf at the all in potted some pellets on the 14m line and chucked the tip out few liners and not a lot was happening then beach caster Barry was getting one a bung and then so was Tom and they just completely abliterated me with banter and my head was gone they were both battering  me mentally and with fish I should of got ear defenders out the van but I was getting a few but would have 2 or 3 fish then nothing off each line anyway I persisted with the abuse and caught a few late short deck and shallow. Felt like I blanked the way they were goin on !!!! Anyway long story short I had 88 pound for knowhere Barry had 89 pound so after all the abuse one fish behind 😑😑tom had 123 ish think anyway well done pair of pr::::::πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ back to the crown for tea, results and banter which were all at a good level I paid all my side bets and well done to me mate mark Thorne who won the match and got his name on cup for the 3rd time no pics as was mentally destroyed !!!!πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚ sort of enjoyable day.
Next up on Sunday wasn’t a lot on after pleading to get on acorn with the psv no space so  just squeazed in on the open at shiplate hawthorns. After Thursday I just wanted a quiet day with a few fish at the draw pulled peg 5 didn’t really mean anything to me as don’t fish there much on arrival to the peg the water looked a funny colour and the carp were just cruising about slowly anyway I went about my business quietly for a change and got my head down plan was strawberry corn over far bank over micros and gb caster shallow down the middle and pellet and corn down the edges at  the all in potted 2 spots on the far bank and went on it while chucking caster out me hand down middle wasn’t right was getting liners and it just wasn’t happening but there was a few cruising carp so I got the caster rig out and mugged 3 fish quite quickly 😁😁 but they soon buggered off so spent the rest of the match scratching around but only catching on the caster I did lose a couple but everything I caught was on the caster I landed 12 fish for 72 pound and the match win which I was surprised at but it fished rock hard due to air pressure and a fair bit of rain going but was a nice quiet day beating the regulars that fish it every week πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚

No pictures again as forgot really just having a nice quiet day and I think you have seen enough of my box !!!!! Thanks for reading one thing I have learnt over the 2 matches keep mouth shut 🀐 and always carry ear defenders πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚πŸ˜‚
