This peg gives you lots of options as it commands a lot of water. My main plan if I drew a feeder peg was fish the small hybrid with a white wafter reason being I have caught lots of skimmers and big roach from the venue using this tactic in the past I did set up a more conventional gb feeder but never used it. All so had pole line 11m to my left and 11m straight out in the deep channel created by the outlet and a short maggot rig top 4 down the right edge. At the all in put some micro and mags down the left gb down the middle and threw some mags to the right chucked the feeder out purposely 10ft off the reeds so not to get carped out 12 mins passed by and the tips gone round skimmer about a pound and half bargain 2 more chucks another one mentall thought I was gonna empty it !!! Another few chucks had a bite reeeled into nothing then foul hooked a carp on the way in strange but it came off then re chucked and had another skimmer so hour and half In 3 good skimmers in the net know one else looked to be doing a lot except for Mark Thorne who was like a jack in the box on peg 6 he was up and down like a yo yo so I assumed he was struggling as only saw him have 1 skimmer but was concentrating on what I was doing really and not him because I may have got dizzy ππ. Anyway my tip line died of really tried shorter longer and tighter to reeds but nothing was happening so had a look on the pole down the left first drop bang carp on double maggot lil squeaker 2.13 oz second drop another one almost identical!!! 3rd drop another one but lost then some tiny roach which were probably 3 to an oz π±π±π‘π‘ tried the gb line down the middle didn’t have a bite over that so tried the short mag line caught 2 tiny roach and some minnows sod that so for the rest of the match sat it out on the tip for nothing only the odd liner did look on the pole lines only putting a couple more tiny roach in the net so that was that word was whole lake was struggling chris zackacs packed up early from peg 16 . So on to the weigh in started with me just hoped I had the section but new that was gonna be tough with Gareth Lennox in there and was worried about my pound side bets π so I put on 5.14 on the scales not great but hoped it was enough Wayne struggled on peg 3 with a couple of pound of bits as did Martin hale on 4 putting 3 pound on . Next was jack in the box mark Thorne ππ FairPlay he snuck 10.6 in his nets peg 8 sam Day 5.9 then Jerry Day peg 9 not a lot around a pound I think Martin cope had 1.7 Paul ratcliff had a few on 11 12 was matt Thomas he had 1 pound odd of silvers but managed to land the biggest carp of the match at 10 pound odd then it was des Phillips on 13 with 3 roach for 7 oz ππ next door 14 was ron who put 6 pound together of bits Paul Swain on 15 put 4 or 5 pound together of bits the dangerous dave Collins on 17 struggled for not a lot then Gareth on 18 put just over 5 pound on the scales meaning my 3 bream and bits had given me the section and 3rd overall lovely was happy with that so picked a few quid up in side bets also ππ so mark was 1st ron 2nd me 3rd I did have to give Mark another pound so we’ll done mate π‘π‘π. Was another hard day roll on the summer but everyone caught fish .
